Ersa Offers Flexible Soldering System

Plymouth, WI — Kurtz Ersa North America has recently developed and released the new Mini VARIO Wave, a game- chang ing option for its selective solder systems. The Mini Wave feature offers users the ability to combine a selective sol- der machine with a wave soldering process in one soldering system. The company’s pat -

ented VARIO Wave op- tion, when combined with its selective soldering equip ment, offers a sta- ble, reproducible wave soldering process. Designed for all ap-

plications and throughput requirements, the Mini VARIO Wave offers out- standing wettability per- formance up to 75mm. With the company’s con- trolled movement of speed and wave pressure, the patent-pending VARIO technology offers precise pressure and distribution. In addition, the Mini VARIO Wave has improved flow char-

acteristics and offers solder snap-off technology.

Hitachi Introduces Stack Stick Feeder

Dallas, TX — Hitachi High-Tech In- struments has introduced its new Stack Stick Feeder for the Sigma Se- ries modular mounters. The Stack Stick Feeder is especially well-suited for feeding odd- form components to the mounter. The feeder can accom-

modate up to 6 sticks at a time, with maximum length of each stick of 600mm (23.6-in.) and an automatic change feature automati- cally replaces emp ty sticks with full ones. There is no need to stop production, since 6 sticks can be stacked at a time in the stack area. Change over time is only 2 seconds. The Stack Stick Feed-

er joins other innovative op- tions for the Sigma Series Modular Mounters. The G5S, introduced in 2013, is faster and more capable than the Sigma G5, has nearly double the

accuracy, and offers placement speeds of up to 75,000cph, high speed head accuracy down to 25µm, and multi- function head accuracy down to 15µm.

Speedline Launches Space Saving MPM BTB Printers

Franklin, MA — SMT electronics as- semblers can nearly double their stencil printing throughput without doubling their machine footprint with the new MPM Momentum BTB (Back to Back) printer. The space-saving

printer is 200mm shorter than the standard Mo- mentum with an overall length of 2.8m for the two machines.

Configured for Back-

to-Back (BTB) process- ing, two individual print- ers positioned back to back in a manufacturing line, it enables dual lane processing with the com- bined output of two ma- chines, conserving floor space and creating a shorter manufacturing line length, but without sacrificing volume or yields.

Momentum BTB is

designed with all-front access to the entire elec- trical system, solvent reservoirs, etc. so that no extra space is required for accessibility between the machines in a BTB setup. BTB configuration offers ulti-

mate flexibility, matching printer strategy to dual lane strategy. A a Dual Lane line, for example, instead of a traditional double-sided reflow line, can greatly reduce capital re- quirements. Dual Lane processing can deliver

much higher throughput per square foot than single-lane configurations,

described as fast, precise, and highly reliable, with performance un- matched by any other printer in its class. MPM Momentum BTB print- ers are offered in two different throughput configurations for opti-

mum flexibility in line balancing. Contact: Speedline Technolo-
