July, 2014 Submersible Pressure Sensor from AST
Mt. Olive, NJ — The Model AST 4530 Liquid Level Transmitter from American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) is designed to measure the level of harsh liquids such as slurries, salt water and oil in vented tanks or containers. Constructed with PVDF mate- rial and a PTFE diaphragm, the submersible pres- sure sensor uses a submersible PVDF cable, cord grip and housing as well as a conduit connection for turbulent installations such as process plants, salt water holding tanks, on-board ships, turbulent tanks, and rail cars. Sensors are certified to Class I Div 1, Groups C and D for use in intrinsically safe areas with an approved barrier. Offering highly reliable operation and long
life, the PVDF liquid level transmitter is not affect- ed by lid angle or proximity to tank walls. In com- parison to ultrasonic and radar sensor technolo-
gies, the AST4530 Liquid Level Transmitter will not have an offset in output due to foaming, reflec- tivity, or lid angle or proximity to the tank wall. In
plastic tanks, a metal plate is not required to be in- stalled under the transmitter. Vapor and condensation will not affect the
Submersible pressure sensor.
Finally, a Pb-free solder paste that takes a shine to ENIG/gold PC boards.
Introducing NC-560-LF, the Pb-free no-clean solder paste designed for hard-to-solder metallization surfaces
Nothing increases production yields like AMTECH’s NC-560-LF, the lead-free, no-clean solder paste for hard-to-solder metallization surfaces, including ENIG (Gold),OSP, HASL and immersion silver
boards. This fully RoHS-compliant solder paste delivers unparalleled lot-to-lot and stencil printing consistency, and enhanced solderability due to superior print performance characteristics, including excellent wetting and activity, ideal viscosity, long stencil life, thermal stability up to 300
o C, and minimal residue. NC-560-LF
solder paste is also low beading, low voiding, and anti-tombstoning to reduce scrap and rework. Looking to strike it rich with greater hourly throughput? CallAMTECH today, and you’ll be golden.

reading or survivability, as the transmitter is vent- ed through the cable to the outside of the tank or container. For marine and water processing applica- tions, it offers the distinct advantage of not requir- ing a sacrificial anode to reduce corrosion over time. It will also survive longer than standard sub- mersible transmitters in applications where bacte- ria can attack metal. 4 to 20mA output signals allow users to interface for low current consumption or long distance transmission applications. A 4 to 20mA output is the most common signal in monitor- ing applications that require long distance trans- missions as the current can be read at the controller without signal loss for hundreds of feet. For either battery-powered or solar-powered ap- plications, voltage output signal is suitable. Typically the solar panel will be located close the pressure sensor,
so there is no signal loss in the cable. Contact: AST Sensors, 450

Applicos Intros 22-bit Arbitrary Waveform Generator
Heerde, The Netherlands — Applicos BV manufacturer of modular semicon- ductor test systems for mixed-signal circuits, has introduced AWG22, a new, advanced arbitrary waveform generator (AWG) for the company’s ATX-series test systems. The module uses a combination of multiple DACs, sub-ranging, and error correction to deliver a full 22-bit performance level, with SNR and THD ratings that sur- pass many 24-bit AWGs. According to the company, the
excellent linearity, step response, and DC accuracy of AWG22 serve a wide range of applications requiring sine wave generation, ultra-linear ramp generation and fast stepping signals. With 4M-word (12MB) of in- ternal memory very complex signal waveforms can be generated.
Waveform generator. Upwards-compatible with the
company’s AWG20, the new AWG22 provides a 2Msps sample rate and eight output ranges, starting at 80mVpp up to 10.24Vpp, which cov- ers a wide range of unit-under-test input voltages. A filter-bank with four low-pass filters (1.2kHz, 12kHz, 40kHz, and 200kHz) provides excel- lent signal conditioning to obtain the best possible signal integrity. In ad- dition, there are four software-selec- table signal paths available for user
defined filters. Contact: Applicos North Ameri-
