Irvine, CA — Pasternack Enterpris- es, Inc. is introducing a new family of coaxial X-band high gain power am- plifiers. These RF amplifiers are typ- ically used as driver amplifiers or high power output amplifiers in a wide variety of commer- cial, industrial and military applications including telecom infrastructure, test instru- mentation, fixed microwave backhaul, radar systems, com- munication systems, satellite communications and commer- cial avionics. The new X-band power

amplifiers are packaged inside hermetically-sealed metal en- closures and reportedly exhibit outstanding performance: high gain, gain flatness, high linear- ity and wide dynamic range. This excellent performance is achieved by using a hybrid microwave IC design and advanced GaAs pHEMT technology. The connector- ized SMA amplifier modules are un- conditionally stable and include built- in voltage regulation, bias sequenc- ing, and reverse bias protection for added reliability. The power amplifier over-voltage protection is installed ex- ternally for easy repair. These high reliability RF amplifiers are fully matched internally for 50W input and output, which eliminates customer

need for any additional sensitive ex- ternal RF tuning components. The new power amplifiers are

perfectly suited for high linearity ap- plications with frequencies ranging

from 8 to 12GHz. These X-band am- plifiers offer 30 to 41dB small signal gain over a temperature range of –30 to +70°C. The excellent gain flatness of these high gain amplifiers ranges from 0.50 to 1.0dB and the IP3 out- put performs up to 44dBm. The new RF amplifiers are offered in 1Watt and 4Watt designs depending on the

configuration. Contact: Pasternack Enterpris-

accurate to within 1 percent of its pressure range of up to 10,000 psi (689 bar), the TDEPS is fully compensated for temperature over its entire operating range of –40 to +194°F (–40 to +90°C). Its relay output is rated at 250VAC/DC, 5A, with optional 10 amp. The TDEPS design uses a one-

piece, precision-machined stainless steel diaphragm and header. It pro- vides ten times the life of a conven- tional diaphragm and eliminates all springs, pushrods, micro switches and o-rings. All wetted parts are stainless steel. The TDEPS senses pressure by

using a time-to-digital converter (TDC) to measure the duration of a capacitive discharge across the changing resistance in a Wheatstone bridge atop the diaphragm. Clever circuitry splits the signal from the bridge, creating a redundant signal that ensures continuous machinery operation if one half should fail. Cir-

cuit updates in the one millisecond range ensure smooth function. The unit’s all-digital design

eliminates amplifiers, filters, ampli- fied noise and signal delays, produc- ing a high-resolution signal without

analog variability or noise in the cir- cuit. Maximum electrical consump- tion is 9-28VDC at 35mA. Fast factory programming of

both set point and hysteresis allows next-day shipping. The TDEPS is EMI/RFI protected and sealed to IP- 65 rating. Standard overpressure rating is 2X, with 4X optional. Burst pressure is 5X or 20,000 psi, whichever is less. It is available with a variety of industry standard pres-

sure-port connections. Contact: Transducers Direct,
