Tour essentials Discovering a forgotten Europe in Moldova and the Ukraine
Travel with us on a fascinating journey to uncover the rich cultural histories of Ukraine and Moldova. As we travel around the Ukraine we admire both urban and rural sights, including waterfalls, caves, palaces and monasteries. Crossing the border to Moldova we explore many of the highlights of the capital city, Chisinau, including the Arc de Triomphe and the extensive underground wineries.
15 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Lviv. Day 2 Lviv Explore the city. Visit the old market square, castle and the Old Rus quarter. Days 3/4 Ternopol and Chernivsti Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour around the city of Ternopol visiting the Old Castle, Galitsky Square and the Dominican Church. Travel to the cosmopolitan city of Chernivsti and tour the highlights of the city including the Old Quarter, Theatre Square, Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and the impressive architecture of the National University of Chernivsti.
Days 5/6 Moldova Travel to Moldova and tour the capital, Chisinau. Optional visit to the extensive underground wineries. Days 7/8 Odessa Travel to the seaport of Odessa. Enjoy walks along the seafront and admire the magnifi cent architecture of historic buildings and monuments. Before continuing our journey by taking the overnight train to The Crimea. Days 9/12 The Crimea You may choose to take a boat trip on the Black Sea, visit the Khan’s Palace at Bakhchisarai

or the scene of the doomed charge of the Light Brigade. Enjoy a guided tour of historic Sevastopol before taking the overnight train to Kiev. Days 13/14 Kiev Visit the beautiful cathedral and the extraordinary labyrinths of the ‘Monastery of the Caves’. Day 15 Tour ends Kiev.
