This trip combines the remarkable scenery of the rugged Rocky Mountains with the beautiful Vancouver Island. We admire unspoilt views of jagged mountain peaks and explore magnifi cent national parks, glaciers and waterfalls. We also visit the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver, known as ‘the jewel of North America’, located by the beaches of the Pacifi c Ocean and surrounded by a dramatic mountain landscape.
15 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Calgary. Day 2 Rocky Mountains Explore the thriving city of Calgary, which nestles in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Travel to Canmore, situated in the picturesque Bow Valley. Days 3/4 Banff and Lake Louise Travel to Banff National Park, Canada’s fi rst national park where there is the option to take a cable car up Sulphur Mountain to enjoy the view of six mountain ranges. Visit the world- famous Lake Louise - one of Canada’s most photographed natural features. Day 5 Glaciers Icefi elds Parkway Enjoy a scenic drive along Icefi elds Parkway to Jasper. Explore the majestic Athabasca Falls and Columbia Icefi elds, one of the largest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle.
Day 6 Jasper National Park Spend a full day in the park. Explore Maligne Canyon, one of the most spectacular gorges in the Canadian Rockies and look out for wildlife, including moose and bears. Days 7/8 Clearwater Ranch Driving via Mount Robson - the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains, spend two nights at a ranch and then explore the dramatic Helmcken Falls that are higher than Niagra. Optional activities include canoeing and horse riding. Days 9/10 Whistler Drive to the pretty alpine village of Whistler. Spend a free day exploring the pedestrian-only village or try a variety of outdoor activities including hiking and cycling. Days 11/12 Pacifi c Rim National Park This is a beautiful national

park boasting mountains, coastal rainforests and wild beaches. To get there, we travel along the ‘Sea to Sky Highway’ - one of the most scenic drives in the world. Then, take a ferry to Vancouver Island, stopping en route to walk among the giant Douglas fi rs of MacMillan Provincial Park. There is the option to go whale watching or sea kayaking. Day 13 Victoria Spend a free day in Victoria, exploring British Columbia’s provincial capital. Day 14 Vancouver Take a ferry to Vancouver where we have a walking tour of the cosmopolitan city. Day 15 Tour ends Vancouver.
