Lake Malawi and Zambian wildlife


Often referred to as the ‘Warm Heart of Africa’, Malawi is a hidden gem among its larger southern African neighbours. We walk across the forested Zomba Plateau offering incredible panoramas over Mozambique and descend to the shores of the impressive Lake Malawi. Staying in comfortable lodges and chalets, we cross into Zambia for some world-class game viewing in South Luangwa National Park.


12 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Lilongwe. Afternoon guided walk through Lilongwe Sanctuary, an animal rehabilitation centre. Day 2 Zomba Plateau From Malawi’s capital travel south, stopping at Dedza Pottery and Zomba’s lively market. Day 3 Emperor’s View Walk along the Zomba Plateau to Chingwe’s Hole; admire the dramatic panorama over Mozambique and the Mulanje Massif from the Queen’s and Emperor’s viewpoints; search the indigenous forest for blue monkeys and the many bird species including the rare Livingstone’s Turaco. Days 4/5 Lake Malawi Free time to relax on the shores of the great

lake, snorkelling or sailing to the nearby islands. Days 6/7 South Luangwa National Park Stop at Mua Mission to learn about Malawian history and culture on the way to Zambia’s nature reserve. Days 8/10 Great gamelands Enjoy a series of game drives and walking safaris through woodlands, lagoons and along riverbanks in search of lion, buffalo, zebra and giraffe. Join an optional night game drive. Day 11 Drive to Lilongwe Free time to explore the capital. Day 12 Tour ends Lilongwe.

Right in the thick of one of the most exciting safari destinations and often visited by local wildlife, this comfortable camp provides the best safari experience whilst supporting local schools and sponsoring the education of disadvantaged and orphaned children.
