Day 1 Join tour Dhaka. Day 2 Dhaka Cruise the Buriganga River. Take a guided tour of the city including the Pink Palace and the war museum. Days 3/4 Ancient Treasures Visit the Hindu Temples of Puthia and ruins of Buddhist cities Mahasthangargh and Paharpur. Day 5 Terracotta Temple Explore the 17th century Kantanagar temple and Zamindar’s Palace. Days 6/8 Darjeeling Enjoy walks in this hillstation and take a ride on the ‘toy train’ up to Ghoom

Day 13 Kalimpong Travel to this lively market town stopping at Rumtek Monastery. Day 14 Bhutan Passing vast tea estates, cross into the Kingdom of Bhutan. Day 15 Thimphu Visit the Dzong (fort) and craft workshops of the Bhutanese capital. Day 16 Punakha Cross the Dochu La
Pass (3050m) and see the impressive Punakha Dzong. Days 17/18 Paro Enjoy a scenic hike up to the Taktsang ‘Tiger’s Nest’ Monastery and visit a local farm. Day 19 Kathmandu Fly to the vibrant Nepali capital and take a guided tour of the city. Day 20 Tour ends Kathmandu.

Festivals in Bhutan
Certain departures visit the colourful monastic fesivals of Paro and Thimpu, held annually in Bhutan. The festivals are held in the courtyards of the Dzong and feature monks performing masked dances which depict traditional stories of gods offering protection against evil spirits.
