Day 1 Join tour Auckland. Day 2 Auckland Explore the city and visit the ancient volcanic cone of Mount Eden. Days 3/4 Coromandel Peninsula Follow gentle coastal trails to geothermal beaches. Travel to Waikato and spend an evening on a working farm, enjoying the local hospitality. Day 5 Rotorua Discover bubbling mud pools and spouting geysers in this volcanic region. Day 6 Napier Enjoy wine tasting at Hawke’s Bay Vineyard and explore the fascinating art deco city of Napier. Day 7 Wellington Guided tour of the cosmopolitan
capital, including a visit to the Te Papa National Museum. Days 8/9 Whales and dolphins Cross the Cook Strait and drive to Kaikoura to enjoy optional activities including whale watching. Continue to Christchurch. Days 10/12 Glaciers Drive over the Southern Alps to the west coast. Optional scenic rail journey on the Tranz Alpine train. Walk to the Franz Josef and Fox glaciers and explore picturesque Lake Matheson. Day 13 Queenstown Free time for jet-boating, rafting and walks in New Zealand’s ‘adventure capital’.
