From the cosmopolitan city of Seoul to the ancient Silla capital of Gyeongju, we explore all that South Korea has to offer. We visit the Demilitarised Zone to see the barrier separating North and South Korea. We also take part in traditional tea ceremonies and witness early morning temple rituals. Finally we spend time relaxing on Jeju - the Island of the Gods.
12 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Seoul. Days 2/3 Seoul Travel to the Demilitarised Zone and see The Third Tunnel under the border between North and South Korea. Enjoy an orientation tour of the city including City Hall and Gyengbokgung Palace. Day 4 Seoraksan Drive to Mount Sorak and take an optional cable car to the summit. Gentle walks are available. Day 5 Tea ceremony Visit Osaek

Mineral Springs. Drive to Samwhasa Temple to join a traditional tea ceremony. Day 6 Homestay Witness the early morning temple rituals then travel to a family home. Try out some traditional games, eat some local cuisine and in cooler months experience the lighting of the ondol (warm stone heaters). Days 7/8 Gyeongju Dating back to the 1st century BC Gyeongju is home to numerous relics from
the Unifi ed Silla Kingdom: we visit Bulguksa Temple, Seokgurum’s grotto and the National Museum. Days 9/11 Jeju Fly from Busan to the ‘Island of the Gods’. Visit Ilchubong Peak and Jeongbang waterfall. Free time to explore the island. Day 12 Tour ends Seoul airport.
