Travel with us to Italy as we explore the beautiful Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Naples. We visit the Roman ruins of Pompeii, the Greek temples of Paestum and have the option to spend a full day exploring chic Capri. Discover a wealth of Roman artefacts at the National Museum in Naples and the atmospheric streets of the old quarter. Along the way we walk amongst the well-preserved ruins of Herculaneum and have the chance to climb to the crater rim of Mount Vesuvius. Walking in Amalfi : Walks in and around Scala and Amalfi may involve steep ascents/descents which are often stepped.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Naples. Day 2 Naples Visit the National Museum - home to an intricate mosaic of Alexander the Great. Discover Naples old city in the afternoon. Day 3 Herculaneum Visit the well-preserved ruins of Herculaneum, buried under a sea of mud following Vesuvius’ eruption. Continue to our family-run hotel on the Sorrento Peninsula. Day 4 Capri Optional excursion by hydrofoil to Capri where

you can enjoy a boat trip around the island, take a scenic walk, visit the Blue Grotto or Villa San Michele. Return to the Sorrento Peninsula. Day 5 Pompeii and Vesuvius Guided tour of the remains of Pompeii; a fascinating insight into the Roman city buried by ash in AD79. Optional walk to the crater rim of Vesuvius. Day 6 Paestum Drive along the Amalfi coastal to the Greek Temples of Paestum.
Day 7 Amalfi A rewarding walk through the lemon groves to the historic town. The afternoon is free to relax: visit Positano by boat or explore the gardens of Ravello. Day 8 Tour ends Naples airport.
