On this active tour we walk through northern Tanzania’s great gamelands and experience incredible wildlife at close range. With the Great Rift Valley as a backdrop we trek along the lake in Manyara National Park and around ancient volcanoes at Olmoti and Ngorongoro. We descend into the caldera to track rhinos, enjoy views of Kilimanjaro from Mount Meru and observe the prolifi c wildlife in the immense Serengeti plains.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Arusha. Drive to Lake Manyara and enjoy the fi rst game drive of the tour. Day 2 Lake Manyara Take a nature walk around the lake shores with opportunities of spotting zebra, giraffe and buffalo at close range as well as an incredible variety of birdlife. Drive to the Serengeti and take an introductory game drive in Tanzania’s most iconic park. Day 3 Serengeti Optional balloon fl ight. Full day game drives in search of

the Big Five. Day 4 Ngorongoro Drive to Ngorongoro visiting Olduvai Gorge en route and trek around the Olmoti crater. Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater Take a walk around the crater’s steep rim. Descend into the 100-square-mile natural basin and enjoy a game drive in search of rhino, elephant and lion. Day 6 Tarangire National Park Walk among the primeval baobab trees of Tarangire, watching for herds gathering


around the watering holes. Day 7 Tarangire Transfer to Arusha. Trek on Mount Meru and enjoy stunning views of Kilimanjaro. Day 8 Arusha Enjoy an optional walk in the coffee plantations or explore the town. Tour ends Arusha.
