Trek through the fascinating and remote tribal villages of China’s Yunnan province

This challenging and rewarding trek explores a remote corner of China’s extreme southwest, a land of minority tribes and spectacular mountain scenery. Our route starts out along the mighty Yangtse River, walking through the breathtaking Tiger Leaping Gorge. We continue alongside tiers of rice terraces and through forests and even tunnels hand-cut through solid granite. Staying with local families along the way in villages of the Yi, Naxi, Pumi and Mosuo tribes, we gain a fascinating insight into the ancient customs and traditions of these friendly people.
