Challenging trekking into the Lost World of Venezuela’s Mount Roraima


On this pioneering adventure to Venezuela we travel deep into territory virtually unknown to the outside world. Canoeing to Canaima we discover the awe-inspiring Angel Falls - the world’s tallest waterfall. We also trek to the table mountain of Roraima and marvel at the spectacular views of tropical forest and lush grassland, which inspired Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel ‘The Lost World’.


15 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Caracas. Days 2/3 Historic Towns Travel across the Orinoco River to Kawe. Pass through the charming city of Ciudad Bolivar and the famous gold mining town of El Dorado along the way. Days 4/9 Roraima Trek from the small Indian village of Peraitepui to the fl at topped mountain of Roraima. From the summit (2810m) we have breathtaking views of the neighbouring table top mountains. Falls Travel to Canaima by motorised canoe. Sleep in hammocks and simple shelters on the riverbank. Marvel at the mighty waters of Angel Falls - the tallest waterfall in the world. Day 14 Caribbean Coast Drive to Chichiriviche de la Costa with free time to relax on the beach. Day 15 Travel to Caracas where the tour ends.
