Day walks to view the sheer pinnacles of the Dolomites
Based in the town of Dobbiaco we explore the strikingly beautiful rock towers and limestone cliffs of the Dolomites. We enjoy scenic treks through alpine meadows and pine forests, along ridges and ascend small summits. Every evening we can relax in the hotel pool, gym or sauna and enjoy traditional Austrian infl uenced cuisine typical of the region.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour Venice airport. Bus, to Dobbiaco. Day 2 Kreuzbergpass Trek from the Kreuzbergpass to the Rotwandwiesen (2056m) for great views. Day 3 Lake Braies Walk through fi elds and forest to the emerald waters of Lake Braies. Day 4 Ridge Walk Trek along the Italian-Austrian border with great views of the Dolomites and WW1 buildings. Day 5 Free day Relax or take an optional visit to Cortina, Lienz or the ‘Ice man’ at Bolzano. Day 6 Tre Cime An undoubted highlight and big

Centre-based in Dobbiaco
We stay in a family-run hotel in the small town of Dobbiaco, a gateway for treks into the Italian Dolomites. Located close to the centre of the town, the hotel is close to shops, restaurants, outdoor shops and public transport. The bedrooms and garden enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and the valley. Facilities include an indoor swimming pool with sauna, wellness centre and a small gym.

Accommodation: 7 nights standard hotel. Meals: 7 breakfasts ,5 lunches and 5 dinners are included. Tour staff: Explore Tour Leader / trek guide and driver(s). Transport: Bus, public bus and train. Trekking Details: This is a 5 day trek with an average of 5-6 hours walking each day. We follow well maintained trails with some steep sections which will be rocky underfoot.
