n a long-standing partnership spanning more than two decades, Rancilio Group has supported Lavazza across key markets and events worldwide. “The partnership started for the Italian market and has since moved beyond to France, the rest of Europe and the U.S.,” says Rancilio Group’s marketing and communication manager Simona Sordelli, adding that the group developed a machine customization as part of the partnership.
Lavazza, a global coffee group with a strong Italian
heritage, has a presence in more than 140 markets and operates in both retail and out-of-home channels. It is recognized as one of the leading operators in the international coffee industry. Rancilio Group, meanwhile, is known worldwide for its high-quality professional espresso machines and will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2027. This is a story of leadership and sector expertise coming
together to deliver a complete coffee experience. “We are proud to collaborate with Lavazza in a partnership that brings together two Italian companies known for excellence in the coffee world,” says Sordelli. “By combining Lavazza’s expertise in coffee with Rancilio’s technology and espresso machine know-how, we can offer professionals a more complete and consistent coffee experience.” The collaboration has grown over the years through a
number of projects around the world, most recently with the IKA Events by Lavazza in luxury hospitality venues. Emanuela Chiono, international key account trade
marketing manager for the Lavazza Group, says this collaboration is built on a natural correlation. “Lavazza brings deep expertise in coffee selection, blending and brand experience, while Rancilio represents one of the leading names in professional espresso machine technology,” she explains.
“In the hospitality world where I am personally involved,
we often collaborate during industry events, trade shows and dedicated activations. These occasions are not just showcases, but opportunities to demonstrate how the integration between coffee and equipment can elevate the overall guest experience.”
Consistency and quality For Lavazza, working with a company such as Rancilio is crucial, says Chiono. “Even the best blend can only express its full potential when extraction parameters are properly optimized. The choice of equipment plays a key role in ensuring consistency and quality in professional environments,” she says. This point comes into focus in the hospitality setting where hotels expect — and need — reliability, precision
