“Engineers learn how to diagnose issues so they’re confident supporting the equipment”

Several engineering features contribute to
that reliability, including metal brew chambers, high-quality grinders and internal components designed to minimize blockages and limescale. While these technical details may not always be visible to the end user, they make a significant difference when it comes to servicing. Another practical feature is the ability to
automatically lock machines if they are not cleaned properly. “If the machine isn’t cleaned daily, it simply won’t operate,” Mongey says. “That might sound basic, but it massively
“The Next is really about flexibility and
performance,” says Singleton. “You can dial in the coffee exactly how you want it, from slower specialty extractions to faster service speeds.” Milk systems are equally adaptable, with configurations for fresh milk, dual milk options or cold milk foam depending on the customer’s requirements. This flexibility enables the machine to meet the needs of a wide range of hospitality concepts. The MoDe offers similar quality and
technology, but in a more compact format. Designed for smaller operations or lower- volume environments, it can produce up to 180 cups per day. Its internal components are organized into modules to facilitate routine maintenance operations. The MoDe can also be fitted with advanced
milk systems and the automatic iSteam Pro wand, allowing operators to combine automated drinks with barista-level quality.
Built for reliability For coffee operators, machine reliability is just as important as drink quality. Mongey says Egro machines have significantly reduced service issues for both his business and its customers. “One of our clients switched eight automatic machines to Egro over the past two years,” he explains. “Our service calls have dropped by around 90%. That reliability is hugely important for customers who depend on the machines every day.”
improves reliability and keeps machines running properly,” he adds.
Training and technical support Alongside equipment performance, training and technical support play a crucial role in the partnership’s success. Engineers from JJ Darboven and Café Du Monde receive specialist training on Egro machines at both the head office facilities and the branch training lab in the UK. The training focuses on installation, servicing and troubleshooting, ensuring technicians are fully equipped to support customers. “It’s very hands-on training,” says Mongey.
“Engineers install the machines, break them down, and learn how to diagnose issues so they are fully confident supporting the equipment.” The partnership also supports customers through remote troubleshooting when possible, allowing many issues to be resolved quickly without requiring an on-site visit. “In many cases we can solve a problem
instantly through a video or phone call,” Mongey explains. “That’s a big advantage for our customers.” As the partnership continues to expand, all sides see further opportunities for growth, supporting more venues with reliable equipment, expert training and the infrastructure needed to keep coffee service running smoothly. “We’re building something that’s growing stronger every year,” concludes Fontana.
