“Unfortunately, things do go wrong in our industry. It’s all about how we react”
Perry Breen Welbilt
“Nothing can be improved if it isn’t measurable, so
all the AI project’s activities are integrated with the main existing key performance indicators (KPIs) within Customer Service,” says Ziglioli. “We went from average response times of about 10 working hours in the first half of fiscal year 2025 to five hours in the second half.” This “always on” customer care culture extends to maintenance too. “Ownership of a product doesn’t just stop at the point of purchasing the equipment; the client also needs to know about the maintenance. Our maintenance plans are extremely important to making sure we stay close to clients,” says Breen. This involves offering preventive maintenance (PM)
programs, seven-day-a-week access and nighttime working, “whatever the customer needs to ensure a good experience,” he adds.
Partnering for forward-thinking Moffat joined Ali Group in 2000 and has maintained a strong relationship since, which, in turn, has helped it expand its reach for effective services. “The Ali Group brand is a promise that’s been built
over many years. People understand that we are a part of a family of companies that brings additional benefit and trust,” says Murray. “Being part of the Ali Group family has been a real
pleasure,” adds Breen. “It’s really allowed us to open up and give a complete solution for the kitchen. Whether that be horizontal cooking, ice machines or warewashing, we now have access to many brands.” Such partnerships within the Ali Group ecosystem
enable new perspectives and the ability to reach new customers, broadening the horizons for both businesses and customers and helping them continue to mitigate the challenges the future holds. A strong local sales and after-sales service presence
creates a powerful value proposition: customers trust in local know-how and the assurance of best practice standards from those who best understand their local business needs.
