FLUID HEAD ENTERS THE MIXO Cartoni BY DAVID FOX

Mixo 21 is a new fluid head designed for fast-paced ENG operators and field productions. Cartoni claims it is “compact, powerful and intuitive and delivers unmatched performance with a form factor built for mobility”. Weighing just 3.5kg, the Mixo 21 blends Cartoni’s patented continuous counterbalance system with a new seven-step fluid drag mechanism. It has 7+0 drag settings on both pan and tilt, offering precise resistance for any shot.

It supports payloads from 0 to 21kg with a tilt angle of +/-90°, allowing the 100mm bowl or flat-based Mixo 21 to adapt from lightweight DSLR rigs to fully outfitted ENG cameras. Cartoni is also showing the

recently introduced Encoded E-Master 30 with its VR Box 2.0, offering advanced control for XR, SFX, VFX and virtual production environments. These E-series heads provide real-time positional metadata for data-driven workflows, allowing integration with graphics and enhancing immersion for sports broadcasts or virtual sets. 12.F31
