Sennheiser (SoundBase) BY KEVIN EMMOTT

Addressing the fragmented workfl ow challenges around coordinating wireless microphones and monitors, RF managers and monitor engineers can fi nd a convenient brand-neutral platform on the Sennheiser Group stand in Hall 8.

Developed by audio veterans Matt Dale and Donny Kuser, the SoundBase app claims to be the world’s fi rst universal wireless

SoundBase works with wireless systems from every major manufacturer

audio management software. Streamlining wireless coordination, centralising communication and enabling seamless remote collaboration, SoundBase integrates with equipment from all major manufacturers, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications, particularly during critical production moments. The app can be operated from any device with a modern web browser; any changes automatically sync so that everyone on the team always has the up-to-date version. The app also provides a crowd- sourced database of previous spectrum use in an area, which is visualised on interactive maps to give audio teams a good starting point for their own production planning. 8.D50

Tata Communications BY ANNE MORRIS

Cloud-based and remote production services specialist Tata Communications is demonstrating how media organisations can cut carbon emissions while maintaining the quality of delivery for major events. Tata Communications claims its MIMiC Cloud Video Services platform enables live production, contribution and distribution without the emissions burden of extensive travel, freight and on-site builds. The company cites more than 100,000 metric

tonnes of CO2saved across global operations, a 30% reduction in freight and travel for event production, and up to 66% less energy use compared to traditional broadcast methods. Dhaval Ponda, VP and Global Head of Media & Entertainment Business at Tata Communications, said: “Our mission is not just carbon neutrality but accelerating the shift to carbon-effi cient media models at scale.” 14.C40
