Ken Frommert, President, Enco Systems What are the biggest

challenges facing the media and entertainment industry? Unlocking the full potential of AI is one of the biggest opportunities – and challenges – facing the media and entertainment industry today. Broadcasters and content creators are under constant pressure to do more with fewer human and fi nancial resources, and the key question is how to leverage AI not just to drive operational effi ciency, but to completely reimagine workfl ows. This includes fi nding innovative ways to produce, personalise and distribute content that deepens audience engagement and keeps viewers coming back. At the same time, the industry must keep pace with evolving FCC regulations, accessibility requirements and ADA compliance standards, ensuring that content reaches every audience while meeting stringent legal and ethical obligations.

How is your company helping its customers to address the challenges faced by the media and entertainment industry? Enco is always operating several steps ahead of where the market exists at the present. That can be seen in our captioning, translation and virtual production systems, as well as AI and automation solutions for radio.

At IBC2025, visitors to our stand can see working demonstrations of how AI content creation can make a difference in several areas, including advertising sales and on-air/production workfl ows for radio. We’re also building on our global message of making captions and translations accessible and available to international viewers and audiences worldwide. That is made strong through enCaption’s new speaker identifi cation feature, a dynamic AI voice fi ngerprinting solution that detects and identifi es each speaker in presentations and broadcasts with more than one contributor.

What are the main areas of focus for your company during IBC2025?

Enhancing our captioning and translation solutions and enabling them to be fully IP-based and functional within IP and cloud workfl ows. That

It is based on Aputure’s BLAIR (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red) light engine, offering high-quality tuneable white light, and can also deliver saturated colours across more than 70% of the Rec.2020 colour space. The Storm 400x is tuneable

rating, professional connectivity and the ProLock Locking Bowens Mount for securely attaching modifi ers with perfect optical alignment. For a more focused light, users can add Aputure’s new CF7 Fresnel and barn doors, optimised for the Storm 400x. This is a 7in Bowens Mount Fresnel with included eight-leaf barn doors, offering a beam range from 15º to 40º while maintaining a compact profi le.

The dual-expanding focusing system with multiple lens elements is said to drastically reduce size and weight without compromising optical performance. 11.B22
