Sessions on the Showcase Theatre stage today will focus on the tools and technologies available to streamline workfl ows, sharing real-world examples of how AI, cloud and data are impacting content creation and distribution. At 10:30, Kathleen Mitford, Corporate Vice President of Global Industry Marketing, Microsoft, and Silvia Candiani, Vice President of Telco, Media, Gaming, Microsoft, will ask what it means to be a ‘Frontier Firm’ in the age of agentic AI. In a session entitled ‘The Frontier of Creativity: Making the leap to what’s next’, they will explore how leading media organisations are embracing AI, data and cloud to empower creativity, streamline media workfl ows and unlock monetisation. They will also speak with customers who are pioneering this transformation, offering real-world insights and bold perspectives on what’s next

for the industry. Later in the day, LucidLink will host a candid conversation on how real-time access and intelligent automation are changing the game for creative teams. Moderated by Imogen Kimberley, Account Executive,
LucidLink, and featuring panellists Fred Petitpont, CTO & Co-founder, Moments Lab, and Richard Yu, CPO, LucidLink, this session will walk attendees through the joint tech stack that powered Brut Media’s high-volume social
coverage of the Cannes Film Festival. In particular it will share how Moments Lab’s MXT-2 multimodal AI and LucidLink’s real-time fi le access combined for a seamless editorial pipeline; how live video was automatically tagged, indexed and made instantly available to editors working remotely; and how direct editing in Premiere Pro via LucidLink delivered speed without compromise. How AI- powered insights enabled teams to instantly search, prioritise, clip and publish the most relevant moments and the lessons learned from the event will also be discussed. In-depth sessions from IEEE, IET and SMPTE lead the Owner and Partner programme today. Kicking off sessions in Room E102 is the IEEE Future Media Townhall. This will focus on the latest developments and implementation of connected media applications, including both the technology and commercial perspectives, with industry experts sharing insights and discussing the opportunities and challenges. The IET’s session ‘From Black and White to Ultra HD and Beyond, The Evolution of The Visual Experience’ will bring together key experts in video to discuss the evolution of video quality, what visual quality is and where it is going in the future.
Also in Room E105, today’s SMPTE programme includes four sessions: Smart Workfl ows – Harnessing AI tools for next generation content; Securing and Standardising Control: Inside

Diversity and allyship is in focus in Room E105, beginning with ‘Industries of Tomorrow: How to embrace change and ride the wave’. Powered by Women in Immersive Tech, this panel will dive under the clickbait headlines to spotlight the creators, broadcasters and tech pioneers who are shaping the future on their own terms. Later in the day, ‘Leading
