CINE LIGHT REFLECTS WELL ON RAYFLEX EverSirius & Yinchem BY DAVID FOX
EverSirius has expanded its range of RayFlex cine light refl ectors with a new 120x120cm refl ector set, one of the largest on the market. It is available in both manual and electric versions. The refl ectors are also available in 7x10cm, 10x15cm, 30x30cm and 60x60cm sizes. With the use of parallel light beams, the refl ectivity can be above 95%, producing various light spread effects. Each size features four refl ective surfaces with angles that replicate
transports one HDMI signal, and by cascading four different colours, users can transmit four uncompressed HDMI signals over an OpticalCon Duo or dual LC fi bre cable. BarnPalette-AAx8 units transport analogue audio signals over fi bre and can be used as part of the BarnColor system or standalone with other fi bre optic transport systems. Supporting eight analogue inputs and outputs per unit, input levels are settable and phantom power can be switched. 8.D83
Upon refl ection: EverSirius RayFlex gold mosaic refl ector and its effect
hard to soft diffusion – at 4° it offers hard light, hard shadow and can redirect the light beam path
like a mirror but with more even refl ection; at 8° it’s still hard, but offers unidirectional diffusion that
stretches the refl ected beam into a light strip; at 12° it offers semi- hard light/shadow, usually used as a direct light source with higher brightness; and at 50° it has soft light/shadow, and is better for fi ll light that covers a wider area. For creative lighting effects, EverSirius also has a new Mosaic Refl ector series in 28x28cm and 52x52cm sizes. Each comes in gold and silver, with mosaic tiles in three sizes: 20x20mm, 10x10mm and 5x5mm. The complete set includes 12 panels, useful for adding texture and depth to a lighting setup. 12.F44
FLEXIVA FAMILY GROWS WITH COMPACT GX2K TRANSMITTER GatesAir

Supporting 2kW of analogue FM in a 2U chassis, the Flexiva GX2K becomes the fourth low-power model in the Flexiva GX transmitter family, joining the GX50 (50W), GX1K (1kW) and GX3K (3kW). GatesAir says all six power levels, including the higher power 5kW and 10kW models, offer a strong
power-to-size ratio. The company adds that Flexiva GX transmitters leverage the latest LDMOS technology and deliver overall effi ciency ratings up to 76%. GatesAir is also introducing GUI enhancements for all six GX models, including integrated audio playback and a supporting playlist manager. Options include GPS receivers for SFN support, and GatesAir’s Intraplex IP Link 100e (IPL-100e) module. The IPL-100e integrates within Flexiva
GX transmitters, enabling direct IP connectivity of FM audio and data from the studio.
Flexiva GX transmitters can be confi gured to serve national or regional FM single-frequency network deployments. They also
support N+1 confi gurations, enabling large national network operators to build fl exible and consolidated transmission sites that meet stringent uptime requirements. 8.C74
