The Appear X Platform has been selected by BH Telecom to enhance the live channel processing software for its Moja TV service. The project encompasses the


provision and integration of an advanced IPTV transcoding and multiplexing platform that is designed to handle 270 HD channels, utilising H.264/MPEG4

and H265/HEVC codecs, in addition to fi ve UHD channels with H265/HEVC encoders. Capable of supporting 500 television and radio services, the X Platform offers a signifi cant reduction in the number of rack units (RU) needed, reducing the requirement to just 10 RU for the whole platform.

The new Indigo ST 2110 openGear gateway card from Cobalt Digital offers bidirectional 12G, four channels HD (up to 1080p60). It includes support for ST 2022-7 seamless redundancy switching, as well as IS 04/05 NMOS for automatic discovery and confi guration.
