RAMPART AMPED UP TO ANSWER POWER STRUGGLE
Hawk-Woods BY DAVID FOX
The Rampart MXB-R1000 fl oor battery, new from Hawk-Woods, is a 26v nominal unit with 1050Wh capacity that can deliver 32A via two XLR 3-pin 16A outputs. It can also step down to 12v or 14v at 10A, while two XLR 4-pin outputs offer regulated 12v to power camera or accessories. James Denyer, Account Manager, Hawk-Woods, said: “It is very much targeted at operators of power- hungry cameras, like the Alexa 35. There has also been interest in it for use with gimbals and lighting. “It has an internal charger, so you can just plug it into the mains (for a full recharge within eight hours). It is also compact and lightweight.”

A compact mobility terminal for on-the-move satellite communications, the Satcube Motion builds upon the design of the Satcube Ku. It boasts IP67 certifi cation for mission-critical operations, while Satcube says the low profi le, lightweight and rugged design ensures that it is easily mountable on any vehicle. Able to run on all car battery types, the unit can be operated via a PC or mobile device, enabling use without any need for prior training.
The company says the Satcube Motion delivers constant performance over all scan angles and has global coverage powered by Intelsat’s GEO network FlexMove. It also functions independently of GNSS signals, making it a good PACE option for critical communications. The Satcube Motion measures 50x50x25cm and weighs 15kg. It features a data rate up to 20/20Mbps via HTS. 0.A26, 1.A50
