GAME ON FOR UPGRADED ESPORTS CONSOLE

Levelling up for IBC, the Model 207A esports console has been enhanced specifi cally for the gaming and esports market. Model 207A supports player audio and intercom needs by means of a compact PoE-powered unit allowing production personnel, team coaches and fans to hear what the players are hearing, while an audio masking feature prevents teams from hearing their competitors or the event commentators. The unit also adds a second
stereo headphone output which allows wired earbuds to be directly connected, while the Studio Technologies STcontroller application has been revised accordingly. Instead of sending white noise to headsets for
masking purposes, Model 207A incorporates an internal source of masking audio as well as allowing an external source to be utilised. The internal source helps reduce the chance that esports players will hear live audio in a game venue, while the second output containing the player’s desired audio source material can be connected to earbuds and worn under the earpads associated with the headset. 8.F93

At the nanocosmos stand in Hall 5’s Content Everywhere area, an artist is painting live in an interactive experience for both visitors to IBC and those elsewhere via real-time video streaming. People from any location can participate using browser-based interactive tools to collaborate from any device. According to nanocosmos, this initiative aims to demonstrate the dynamic and interactive nature of modern media in a traditionally static industry environment.
