D2C VIDEO MONETISATION ON THE AGENDA FOR EVERGENT
Evergent arrives at the IBC2024 Showcase Theatre on the back of an extensive period of research into the future of the media & entertainment (M&E) landscape – some of the results of which the customer management and monetisation solutions provider plans to share with attendees in two far-reaching sessions today. Vijay Sajja, Founder & CEO of Evergent
Technologies, says: “We have been gathering insights about the future of the M&E landscape through our work with MVPDs, direct-to- consumer video services, other digital platforms and our ecosystem partners. We wanted to share this perspective with a broader audience of industry experts and professionals. This inspired us to bring some of our key partners and industry thought leaders to join us at this year’s Showcase Theatre.” Today’s fi rst session, which will commence at 12:00, will focus on the essential elements of successful business model transformation for direct-to-consumer video services, with speakers from Paramount and Google Cloud set to join Evergent on stage. The discussion will cover topics such as the role of hybrid monetisation strategies, cloud transformation, and the disruptive potential of generative AI. The second session will explore the pitfalls to be avoided when deploying a new TV platform. The discussion will draw on decades of insight from leading industry CXOs, with panellists from companies including MediaKind joining Evergent.
Invited to consider the aspects that make the Showcase Theatre conducive to useful coverage and discussion of critical technology topics and developments, Sajja responds that it provides “a dynamic environment that fosters meaningful discussions on critical technology topics and developments. Its interactive format encourages dialogue between industry experts, enabling the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices. The variety of sessions, ranging from keynotes to panel discussions, ensures a comprehensive
