AI INDEXING ENHANCED BY HUMAN TOUCH

Videomenthe BY KIRSTY HAZLEWOOD

AI-based content indexing with human enhancement is a new feature for Videomenthe’s Eolementhe.

This collaborative user-friendly web platform aims to simplify media processing and delivery, including features like transcoding, QC, subtitling, loudness, Kantar watermarking for audience measurement, and so on. Videomenthe says the proliferation

of AV content is a real challenge for media players, and rapidly detecting the desired content using metadata is key. The new customised AI content-indexing

feature includes recognition for faces, logos and text. It offers users the ability to update data in their own environment, as well as a search interface. Muriel Le Bellac, President,

Videomenthe, said: “One of Eolementhe’s strengths is the combination of AI and human action. While AI is developing very rapidly in indexing, this notion of users improving AI results remains innovative.” 2.C20

GREAT SCOPE FOR REMOTE DOLLY

ST Video – Film Technology BY DAVID FOX

The new ST-2100 gyroscope robotic camera dolly uses advanced gyroscope remote head technology. It is made of precision-machined, high- strength alloy materials, while its movement is driven synchronously by two sets of DC motors and adopts a three-way positioning track operation method. Its control desk can pre-set the moving speed, moving track and step setting, and users can control the ST-2100 automatically or manually.

The dolly can move at up to 3m/s, while the column has a three-stage synchronous lifting mechanism and can go up and down at up to 0.6m/s. It has a maximum track length of 100m, and the camera robot dolly has a

maximum payload of 200kg, with a control distance of up to 1000m. The remote head pans 360°, tilts ±80°, has a side rotation of ±40°; it has a payload of about 30kg. It can be equipped with camera displacement data output, to work with VR/AR, using FreeD data. 12.H78
