Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) is ON this summer, but with a crucial difference - it’s a virtual festival. Despite not being able to bring the festival to Stockton High


Street, we are bringing you SIRF at Home. World class performances that were planned for 2020 will now be performed to you digitally over the SIRF website and social media channels. We will also be showing archive footage of classic SIRF moments for you to enjoy, plus a whole host of other SIRF related videos.


Here’s what to expect:

This year’s theme is ‘Junk for Joy’ and we want to inspire you to get creative and join in from home. Over the past couple of months we have featured talented artists on the SIRF social media channels who have brought you a series of fun, online video workshops to help you get ready for this year’s Community Carnival at Home.

We would love you to send us your carnival creations. Simply visit the SIRF at Home Community Carnival webpage and upload video clips or photographs of your best dance routines, musical instruments or carnival inspired costumes. You might even spot yourself in our Community Carnival film which will go live on the SIRF social media channels at 12pm on Saturday 1 August. Deadline for submissions is Friday 24 July.
