Our Covid Diary


For the past few months we’ve been living through unprecedented times. This period will be looked back on in future years as a point in history so we thought we shouldn’t let it pass without sharing some of the amazing contributions people have made and the experiences we have had.


In this section of the magazine we share a small snapshot of life in Stockton-on-Tees during the Coronavirus pandemic.


We couldn’t possibly capture everything so instead we’ve launched a virtual diary where you document your experiences.


Whether it’s a digital birthday sing-a-long, a visit to grandparents through their window, clapping for key workers, or paying tribute to the loss of a loved one, the ‘Dear Diary’ project is about capturing all kinds of experiences for future generations to look back on.


It’s easy to get involved – you can submit your own pictures, videos and audio stories to the Heritage Stockton website by visiting www.stockton.gov.uk/deardiary and clicking the ‘Contribute’ button at the top of the page.
