would be a frivolous and short-lived strategy. However, we do believe that we can get better value for money for our acquisition and retention spend and there is a lot to be gained in the margins.

We will achieve this by breaking down each component of our online casino offering and determining where we can do it better or just differently to have a greater impact with players. To do this we’ve been building a great team of talented people who are experts in their fields and relish the challenge of building something from scratch, with no legacy and being able to execute on their respective strategies from the outset.

As a skin partner, you are essentially operating under the casino properties license, therefore there is an extremely thorough due diligence process carried out to ensure you’re a suitable partner to do business with, the process varies from casino to casino depending on what is important to their respective business.’

P100 WIRE / PULSE / INSIGHT / REPORTS

In July, PlayStar secured market access in Pennsylvania after entering a multi-year deal with Caesars. Could you tell us more about the agreement?

Te agreement allows us to launch PlayStar Casino into Pennsylvania on a long-term market access agreement. We’re delighted to enter this agreement with an industry powerhouse, which we’re very proud to have accomplished in PlayStar’s short journey thus far. Tis will more than double our total addressable market and its proximity to New Jersey will allow for some spill over affect from a marketing and brand perspective.

How are partnerships with major players such as Caesars drawn up and agreed? What does

the sounding out process look like? Who approaches who?

It’s a straightforward process really, the regulation determines if online casino is legal in a particular state, it also generally sets the number of skins (market access agreements) a casino property is allocated and market forces to the rest.

Regarding who approaches who, as a challenger brand, it was very much a case of PlayStar knocking on doors initially, however, through the process of securing market access in New Jersey (eventually with Ocean Casino Resort) we established a relationship with Caesars, so we were pretty quick to consolidate our New Jersey market access with Pennsylvania through Caesars.

With these partnerships announced and momentum building behind PlayStar, ahead of our launch in New Jersey, we now find ourselves being approach by operators regarding partnerships for other states. Tese are conversations we welcome and are more than happy to have.
