style games deliver visible progress which gives players agency in their gaming. Te influence of CoD, Destiny 2 or Borderlands impacted the technical design of the new thematic arcade and fish-shooting games and enabled feature innovations to deliver an exciting, narrative-driven shooting game that players actively enjoy.

Videogames had also introduced the ‘endless play’ concept, so encouraging prolonged engagement. Many new to iGaming players are replicating this approach which leads to longer player sessions and higher deposits. Whether with Jackpot Fishing, Mega Fishing or Fortune King Jackpot, our data show an average 10 per cent uplifts in engagement and DAUs and 50 per cent in session length - and that’s across every jurisdiction.

An essential element is that we tailor our games for each market based on deep data to create optimum engagement. For example, with the U.S. market, the underwater concept did not resonate with players. Tis feedback led us to design a completely new concept – Fortune Zombie and Fortune Zombie 2 – which put the gameplay on land and in recognisable U.S. environments. Trough accurate localisation we engaged with the players base and immediately saw exceptional engagement (in excess of 3,000 rounds per player per session from launch) and higher deposits as players were determined to reach each level and beat the Bosses.

Rather than actively cross-sell, TaDa fish-shooting games have in-game bonuses like dice or wheels of fortune to provide more ‘cross-info/experience’ opportunities and introduce players to the other styles of gaming they might not have tried before. Operator feedback tells us that players will access both fish-shooting and other content in the same session, suggesting arcade style games are played ‘as well as’ and not ‘instead of’ so they don’t create spend migration, but rather the reverse.

that have reshaped how players engage with online gambling. At the core of this trend is the interplay between established, commercially successful titles, and a steady flow of new releases. Popular “staple” games act as strong entry points for new players, while major operators continuously refresh their portfolios with innovative variations and fresh mechanics for the core crowd.

Due to this, arcade-style products have moved beyond their early niche status to become an integral part of the broader gambling experience. Tey now sit comfortably alongside classic offerings like table games, or live games, often serving as a quick and engaging alternative for players who primarily focus on slots. Tis shift is further supported by the short game rounds that are typical for these games, enabling them to align perfectly with the short-form content that dominates online entertainment today, making them especially attractive to affiliates, streamers, and content creators who thrive on producing dynamic, bite-sized gaming content. In turn, this exposure drives more traffic to online casinos - where arcade- style products are far more accessible than in traditional land-based venues.

What design elements give bettors the feeling of influencing outcomes?

Alexandros Mavroudis: Player agency is really at the heart of offering a more interactive and engaging experience. Whether it’s holding on a few extra seconds before cashing out in a crash game, choosing to risk a bet for a bigger win in a mines game, or deciding to take another card in Blackjack, these moments of choice make players feel directly involved. It’s that sense of control and consequence that gives weight to your decisions and creates a deeper level of engagement compared to traditional, more passive slot experiences.

Andy Huang: With most TaDa titles like Ocean Hunter or Jackpot Fishing, we build in options for players to tailor the game to their preferences through Hall/Room choice at the
