WHAT RESPONSIBILITIES DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR ROLE?


I look after business development for GLI for the EMEIA market with special focus on the India and South Asia markets. I also look after government relations work for GLI in India.


WHY DID YOU JOIN GLI?


When I first met Reenesh Mahabeer and Janine Taljaard from GLI Africa, I felt as if this was a company based on connection and collaboration.


I was hopeful that my input would help grow both myself and the company, but after joining, I immediately realised how lacking I was in knowledge compared to the other colleagues and that I made the correct choice.


GLI is an established entity, so building industry partners is worth more than just a once-off project. We grow together with our clients, and with our team of experts always supporting me, I feel we can achieve greatness.


WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT WORKING WITH CLIENTS?


Working with so many different individuals and experts in the industry created a passion for me, which I never thought I’d have. Just watching our clients get to market and growing their business makes


My role involves providing solutions to Real Money Gaming companies for their testing and certification needs for regulated markets and looking for regulatory requirement set up for India with federal government relations, as India is still in the development stage for getting a regulatory framework in place.


WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES?


I would have to say managing different time zones and working with clients to meet their requirements for unique and customised solutions. Te good news is, we have labs in almost every time zone in the world, so there is always someone available to help our clients.

Since joining the team as a Business Development Manager and Account Manager, my role is to build relationships with new potential business partners in the industry and maintain existing relationships.


I help clients take their products across the world.


WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR ROLE?


A win for a client is a win for GLI in the end. I enjoy building relationships with clients, both new and existing.


WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHALLENGES?


Te hardest part of this new position is learning all the names and inner workings of my clients and finding ways to best help them achieve their goals.
