Harrah’s Columbus opens in Nebraska

Harrah’s Columbus, NE Racing & Casino, Caesars Entertainment’s first venture into the Cornhusker State, has opened its doors to guests for the first time.

Te new destination features a 17,000-square- foot casino with 400 slot machines, 11 table games and a Caesars Race & Sportsbook featuring a 2,100-square-foot sports and simulcast betting area conveniently located on the casino floor.

Play’n GO has announced a partnership with Canadian operator Loto-Québec, launching the Swedish gaming provider’s games into another Canadian province.


Already active in another Canadian province , this partnership sees Play’n GO’s content available in the province of Québec exclusively with Loto-Québec, a state-owned corporation, where online players now have access to titles such as Tome of Madness.

Harrah’s Columbus, NE Racing & Casino is also home to the award-winning restaurant Brew Brothers, founded by the Carano family in 1995, and a bar called Wishbones. A Marriott Fairfield Inn and Townplace Suites is under construction next door and will connect directly to the casino once complete later this year.


In partnership with Columbus Exposition and Racing, Harrah’s Columbus Nebraska will be home to a one-mile racetrack, the longest track in the state. Te track will host 15 live races every Friday – Sunday from Aug. 16 to Sept. 15, as well as one on Labor Day. Each date will offer all-ages Grandstand seating, along with 21+ in- person and kiosk betting.


Opening day guests received commemorative Harrah’s shirts before making the property’s historical first spins on the slots, table game wagers and first bets at the Caesars Race & Sportsbook. Te first jackpot was hit at 10:14 a.m. with a lucky guest winning $1,876 on Power Push.


Ontario Soft2Bet activates IBIA membership in Ontario


Casino and sportsbook platform provider Soft2Bet has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) and activated its membership in Ontario, Canada, following its licensing in the Canadian province.


Soft2bet obtained its Certificate of Registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) at the end of March, where the company’s Ontario-focused brand Tooniebet.com will now feed into IBIA’s world-leading sports betting integrity monitoring platform before worldwide implementation in the coming months.


IBIA includes over 50 of the world’s leading sports betting and gaming companies, who operate over 125 sports betting brands. Soft2Bet’s decision to join the


association further strengthens its own internal betting integrity protocols and IBIA’s position as the world’s leading sports betting integrity monitoring body.

Nevada - Galaxy generates record revenue Galaxy Gaming, a developer and distributor of casino table games and systems for land-based casinos and iGaming content, has generated record gross and net revenues for the first quarter.


“The first quarter of 2024 showed continued growth at the top and bottom lines,” explained Matt Reback, President and CEO. “Both gross and net revenue were records, and by significant margins. "And our Adjusted EBITDA was just shy of the record achieved in Q2 23, when we had $1.6 m in perpetual license sales as compared to $805,000 in Q1 24.


"While sales of perpetual licences were higher than we had planned, they were lower than last year and we remain principally reliant on recurring licence revenue, which was 92 per cent of gross revenue in Q1 24 as compared to 85 per cent in Q1 23.”


Nevada - MGM records best Q1 MGM Resorts International generated its best ever results in the first quarter of 2024 with Las Vegas strong performance continuing with record Q1 net revenues and MGM China also achieving record quarterly results.


Revenues came in at $4.4bn, an increase of 13 per cent compared to the prior year quarter, due primarily to an increase in revenue at MGM China resulting from the continued ramp up of operations after the removal of COVID-19 related entry restrictions in Macau in the prior year quarter. Las Vegas produced $2.3bn in the current quarter compared to $2.2bn in the prior year quarter, an increase of four per cent, due primarily to an increase in ADR, whilst MGM China generated revenues of $1.1bn in the current quarter compared to $618m in the prior year quarter, an increase of 71 per cent.


In its regional markets, MGM generated revenues of $909m in the current quarter compared to $946m in the prior year quarter, a decrease of four per cent.
