Japan
French casino operator Partouche and Japanese energy company Pixel Companyz will focus on Nagasaki as the location for their bid to develop an integrated resort in Japan. Te Japanese city on the island of Kyushu was also the focus for Partouche's previous Japanese partnership with Oshidori International, which was terminated in May this year. Oshidori International wants to develop an IR project at the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in the city of Sasebo.
Te race to develop an IR in Nagasaki is now pitching four consortiums together with Oshidori International Holdings, Casinos Austria and a collaboration between Get
players, and their absolute determination to deliver despite the challenging circumstances. Teir safety and wellbeing – and the safety and wellbeing of our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders – remains Aristocrat’s priority.
“In May, we said that Aristocrat entered the COVID-19 challenge in good shape. Six months on, and notwithstanding the uncertainties that remain, we believe we’re well placed to emerge from this period in even better shape. Our results for the full year to 30 September 2020 demonstrate that we have enhanced our financial fundamentals and further accelerated our underlying operational momentum, despite the exceptional challenges and volatility generated by COVID-19 on our business, customers, players and people across the majority of the period," he added.
“Aristocrat continued to take share and maintained its leadership of key Gaming markets and segments over the full year, with an increased focus on customer service and engagement. “We see Nagasaki as a great opportunity to create a unique regional resort that suits the strengths of the region and our consortium. Russia
An off-shore Russian subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Summit Ascent Holdings has increased its shareholding in Oriental Regent Limited (ORL), the operating force behind Tigre de Cristal in Primorye near Vladivostok, by 10 per cent to 77.5 per cent in a move that will help fund the Phase II expansion of the casino. It could still increase its stake to approximately 89.29 per cent if Summit Ascent is the only subscriber of the new issue of ORL. Chau Cheok Wa, Chairman of Suncity and Summit Ascent, said: “Te potential to acquire further stakes in Tigre de Cristal is a strong injection in confidence that Suncity and Summit Ascent are motivated to drive up business volumes in Tigre de Cristal. Besides, the outstanding recovery post- closure was as astounding as it seems - proof that we could sustain in hard times with local businesses only.”
