Te Kalispel Tribe has announced it will begin an expansion project at its Northern Quest Resort & Casino in Washington in March, adding a new hotel wing with 200 rooms and creating more than 150 jobs.
Nick Pierre, Northern Quest General Manager, said: “While 2020 has been a difficult year for the hospitality industry, we continue to weather the storm and look toward to the future. For the past several years, we’ve been running at consistently high occupancy in our hotel. And while meetings and events business has taken a big hit in the past eight months, we are confident things will bounce back in the coming months and years, returning us to the kind of demand we were seeing in 2019 and early 2020.
Back in March, the COVID-19 global pandemic forced us to delay our announcement of this project, but as we close out 2020, we are excited to move forward with an eye on maintaining our excellent reputation as an entertainment destination in Eastern Washington."

IGT's PlaySports platform will power retail sports betting at Maverick Gaming's three Colorado-based casinos as well as interactive sports betting throughout Colorado via Play Maverick Sports.

A skywalk will connect the current hotel on the northwest side to the new addition.
Te Kalispel Tribe plans to break ground on the new project in March 2021, with completion scheduled for early 2023. In addition to the hundreds of temporary construction jobs this project will bring to the Spokane area, the expansion project will bring approximately 150 permanent new jobs to the Airway Heights property. Te Tribe’s master plan includes the potential addition of a more than 30,000sq.ft conference centre, depending on the demand for groups and meetings business in the coming months and years.

NEW JERSEY – Caesars and VICI Properties have completed the sale of Bally’s Atlantic City to Bally’s Corporation for US$25m. The proceeds of the transaction were split 75 per cent to VICI and 25 per cent to Caesars, while the annual base rent payments under the Regional Master Lease between Caesars and VICI remain unchanged.
VICI Properties is a real estate investment trust that owns one of the largest portfolios of gaming, hospitality and entertainment destinations, including Caesars Palace.
At present, VICI owns 28 gaming facilities comprising approximately 18,000 hotel rooms and more than 200 restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Its properties are leased to gaming and hospitality operators, including Caesars, Century Casinos, Hard Rock, JACK Entertainment and Penn National. VICI Properties also owns four championship golf courses and 34 acres of undeveloped land adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip.
Bally’s Corporation, previously known as Twin River Worldwide, owns and operates 10 casinos across six states, a racetrack, and 13 OTB licenses in Colorado. With more than 5,400 employees, the Company’s operations include 11,859 slots, 405 game tables and 2,538 hotel rooms.
Following the completion of acquisitions, which include Tropicana Evansville, Jumer’s Casino & Hotel, Eldorado Shreveport Resort and Casino, and MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa, Bally’s will own and operate 14 casinos across 10 states.
US – JCM Global and The Mint Gaming Hall at Kentucky Downs have expanded their partnership. Now, JCM will upgrade all 450 games in the casino to its iVIZION bill validator with ICB Intelligent Cash Box system. Additionally, JCM will install its iVIZION with ICB and GEN5 Thermal Printer in the newly expanded casino area, which houses approximately 600 games and opened in September.
