UK - BetConstruct to host second expo Following the success of the first edition of the virtual igaming expo East & West, BetConstruct has decided to open the doors of its digital event hosting platform for the second time on December 8-9.

Belarus - Greentube enters Belarus market Greentubehas made its market entry into Belarus after taking its popular content live with online casino operator GrandCasino.

Czech Republic - Apollo bets €500m on Sazka Apollo Global Management has agreed to invest €500m in lottery operator Sazka. The deal values the Czech business, which is backed by KKCG, at €4.2bn. The investment will be made into Sazka Entertainment, a new subsidiary of KKCG that will become the 100 per cent owner of Sazka Group upon closing. The investment will be used to fund acquisitions and growth opportunities in Europe and North America.
Greece - GLI authorised to test in Greece Gaming Laboratories Europe has been awarded a license by the Hellenic Gaming Commission to certify and audit all categories of gaming.

Elected officials are mobilising to support casinos currently closed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the containment put in place. Te National Association of Elected Tourist Territories (ANETT) wrote to the President of the Republic on November 12 to request that as soon as this confinement ends, gaming establishments can resume their activity. On November 4, 16 deputies from the spa study group, including its chairman, took a similar approach in a letter to the Prime Minister.
“As President of the National Association of Elected Tourist Territories (ANETT) including the mayors of classified resorts, I would like to draw your attention to the particular situation of casinos,” wrote Philippe Sueur to Emmanuel Macron in a letter which has since been widely disseminated within government.
“Indeed, it is very important for the casinos that when the confinement is over and from the first hours, they can welcome visitors to their establishments. We are not asking for a favour because the health of all is our priority, but we want the same application of the law as for other economic players,” continued Mr. Sueur, who emphasised in particular that the casinos apply one of the strictest health protocols,
rigorously guaranteeing safety for employees and customers.
“Te application of health protocols has been one of the strictest, in particular with those of restaurants which, by virtue of their activity, do not allow customers to wear masks permanently,” added the mayor of Enghien.
Te President of the ANETT also underlines the 'major role played by casinos in our tourist resorts: they are indeed fundamental contributors in the economic life of the territories.' "Te closure of these establishments has dramatic consequences on the often fragile economy of our smaller tourist communities, and on the social life of these," he said.
Te deputies of the study group on hydrotherapy, in their letter to Jean Castex, focused on this last point, wishing to alert the Prime Minister to the impact of the shutdown of casinos 'on the economy of our territories and tax revenues of municipalities.'
Te closure of casinos has a direct impact on the revenues of municipalities, and in particular spas, 70 per cent of which have less than 5,000 inhabitants, they point out.

Bosnia & Herzegovina
EGT Interactive has extended its long-term partnership with Maxbet into new markets with deals in Bosnia and Montenegro to set off simultaneously following the success of their collaboration in the Serbian iGaming market.
Holland Casino was given the go ahead to reopen the doors of its 14 branches on November 19 after being closed for two weeks.
A spokesperson said: "Guests can now be received again for safe and responsible play. All strict measures that applied at the time of closure will apply again. All restaurants and bars will remain closed, as will all catering establishments in the Netherlands. Due to current government measures, we have made some adjustments concerning a visit to one of our casinos. Your visit will still look familiar but at the same
time different. Holland Casino is open daily until 01.00 hours.
“Wearing a face mask is mandatory when moving through our establishment. As soon as you have taken your seat, you can take off your face mask if you wish. We ask you to bring your own face mask. Our establishments are divided into several gaming rooms which can accommodate up to 30 guests at the same time. Upon entering, we ask you to choose a playroom. Because of the new measures it is temporarily only possible to visit us with a reservation and a Favorites Card.”
