Craft Club is all about YOU, the crafts and projects you love, and the friendships you’ve made

“I want to thank Jo Foster!”
Recently I became very ill and severely depressed; as a result, I had to give up my job after 30 years of work. I decided that I needed a hobby, so a friend recommended Create and Craft and I haven’t looked back once.
While I love every single
one of your presenters, Jo Foster is my favourite because I’ve learned more from her than anyone else. I love the fact that she’s incredibly down-to- earth and has a fantastic sense of humour, plus she always looks fabulous!
I have enjoyed various crafts since I was a child; I began knitting with a wooden cotton reel with four small nails knocked into the top – nowadays it’s called a ‘Knitting Nancy’. I soon progressed onto sewing clothes for my dolls, and then as a teenager I
started sewing and knitting my own clothes. My grandma also taught me how to crochet. Sadly, knitting, crocheting and dressmaking are

She provides fantastic
support via her Facebook page too; after every show she always gets in touch with people through social media to give them extra help if they need it – she’s a true inspiration.

problematic for me now as I have arthritis in 50 per cent of my fingers. However, I haven’t let this stop me from crafting altogether; I have been papercrafting for about eight years and I thoroughly enjoy it. Die-cutting with the Tattered Lace dies is my favourite activity because they’re so pretty and easy to use.

“I CAN’T WAIT TO LEARN MORE”
The Brother ScanNCut has allowed me to take my crafting skills to the next level; I’ve been able to make wedding invitations for my best friend’s son, a task that
would have taken me ages if I’d cut everything by hand.

We love the ScanNCut! HANDY HELPER
I’ve also made 3D products which I displayed at the local school – the children and staff love them. The machine is easy to use for the basics, and Mel Heaton and Jo Foster are always good to watch if I need to learn new skills.
I think the ScanNCut is a must-have machine – I can’t wait to learn more about what I can do with it.

I love my ScanNCut which I won two years ago from Create and Craft – it’s brilliant for all of my projects, especially when I need to do multiple cuts at once. This machine has opened up a whole new
world of crafting for me and I would highly recommend it to all my fellow crafters!
