rading as Docrafts, Design Objectives Ltd was co-founded in 1997 by

industry leading entrepreneurs from Sbars, Sugarloaf, Back Street, and Daler Rowney. Today, the company is one of Europe’s leading craft suppliers (pre-eminent in papercraft), owning exclusive house brands. “The company was acquired in December 2016 by Whincroft Ltd, which is the parent company of West Design Products Ltd,” explains Group Head of Marketing, Steve Loveday. “We now employ more than 200 people across Folkestone, Plymouth and Bournemouth.”

The company stocks more than 6,000

product lines with exclusive own brand and licensed products, which are supplemented by select third party brands such as Papermania, Anita’s, XCut and Santoro Gorjuss. “There are products suitable for all ages in the Crafts Planet brand,” says Steve. “You can create lots of amazing projects, from scrapbook layouts to Moroccan tile coasters. We specifically tailor our products to suit all recreational and professional levels, from beginners, right through to crafting enthusiasts.” With such a wide range of products

to work with, the only limitation is your imagination. The team at Docrafts prides itself on regularly launching products to keep the range current and provide constant inspiration for crafters. Best of all, as a Create and Craft club member, you’ll be in on exclusive offers and discounts that can be found nowhere else. “Docrafts is a very

fast-paced and creative business,” Steve continues. “There is always a buzz around the office, especially when new products arrive. Everyone enjoys crafting and is passionate about delivering the best inspirational projects and products to market.” With a proven strength in product

development, Docrafts is supported by a team of industry professionals across product management, design, sourcing and quality control. The business is proud to work with some fantastic licensing partners such as Santoro Gorjuss and Hallmark, offering high-quality, on-trend products. “We are constantly refreshing and developing our ranges, launching designs and new products,” Steve reflects. “You will see a lot of new products from Docrafts this year, including our new stationery range, Noteworthy. Why not take a look?”

Crafting inspiration

Create this intricate floral bouquet with the XCut Flower Jar die. Layer the flowers onto the stems to create a three-dimensional effect, and team this with background paper from Papermania’s Freshly Cut Flowers collection, then finish with ribbon.
