Who can resist a French Fancy and a cuppa with friends? Tempt your guests to join you with a stunning spring-themed invitation card.
You will need
l Anita A5 card blank l Anita vellum l Patterned paper from the Freshly Cut Flowers Collection l Patterned paper, white l XCut Bird Wreath die l XCut Nesting Circles die l Artiste black, permanent dual-tip pen l Cardstock; green, pink, purple, white
1
Trim a white Anita’s A5 card blank to 13.5cm x 13.5cm and a
sheet of Anita’s vellum to 13cm x 13cm. Cut a 13.5cm x 13.5cm piece of floral patterned paper from the Freshly Cut Flowers Collection, making sure the flowers are visible.
2
Using the XCut Bird Wreath die, die-cut twice with mid-green
cardstock. Cut again using pale pink and pale purple cardstock. Remove the birds and trim down the inner flowers on one of the green die-cuts. Keep the largest branch intact and add another branch from the second green wreath to the top area. Replace the flowers by trimming the blossoms from the coloured wreaths
and sticking them in place. Slightly overlap two coloured birds and fix together, then repeat to make another.
3
Lay the wreath centrally over the floral paper and mark the inner
space, then cut out. Repeat for the front of the card blank and fix in place, sandwiching the vellum in-between. Next, affix the decorated wreath and add the birds in the opposite corners. Create a double- coloured frame by cutting out a green border that fits the card and a slightly smaller, thinner pink frame to sit over the top, then fix in place.
4 5
Cover both inside panels with a piece of green dotty patterned
paper from the pack, leaving a thin white border. Remember to cut away the same circular hole as the front cover. Mirror the wreath design around the circle on the inside, but leave undecorated and fix in place.
Die-cut a circle from white paper for your message using the largest
XCut Nesting Circles die. Draw pencil guidelines for your sentiment, sketching the words first and making sure it fits within the wreath window so it can be seen when closed. Draw over the pencil with an Artiste black, permanent dual-tip pen and stamp the rest of your message. Fix the circle inside the invite, adding extra pieces of green wreath.
6
Create a secret tag with a stamped RSVP from a piece of
the white patterned paper. Add an additional bird as before, plus another sprig from the trimmed wreath. Cut a second card to size from white cardstock. Where the tag sits, trim a small semi-circle cut-out and fix the additional card in place,
leaving the area with the tag free from glue, to create a pocket.
7
Make a matching envelope using the invite as a size
guide. Cut out using the same patterned paper as the tag. For an extra special touch, add a piece of floral paper to decorate the inside of the envelope.

1
Remove the compartments from a Papermania Bare Basics
30.5cm x 30.5cm Shadow Box. Paint the box and lid if you want to add a bit of colour. Use a piece of Core’dinations white 30.5cm x 30.5cm textured cardstock as your base and select a few papers from the Papermania Capsule Elements Pigment collection to match your colour scheme.
2 You will need
l Papermania Bare Basics 30.5cm x 30.5cm Shadow Box l Core’dinations 30.5cm x 30.5cm textured cardstock, white l Papers from Papermania Capsule Elements Pigment Collection l XCut There’s No One in the World die l Cardstock, black l XCut Circle Nesting die l Artiste dual-tip watercolour pens l Papermania Bare Basics wooden sentiments l Artiste acrylic paint, cobalt blue l Papermania Bare Basics adhesive wooden letters l Papermania Bare Basics travelling pack of wooden shapes l Create Christmas twine l Stick it! double-sided tape, optional
Die-cut the XCut There’s No One in the World die using
black cardstock and cut away the centre of the globe and the wording around the edges. Cut out a circle using an XCut Circle Nesting die and use Artiste dual-tip watercolour pens to create a globe design.
3
For the title, select some Papermania Bare Basics
wood sentiments and paint them with the cobalt blue Artiste acrylic paint. For the uppercase wording, use Papermania Bare Basics adhesive wooden letters to write
something applicable to your photos. Add one of the pinpoint veneers from the Papermania Bare Basics travelling pack of mixed wooden shapes.
4
Piece the layout together on the 30.5cm x 30.5cm sheet of
cardstock. Begin with the biggest items first – such as the photographs, background paper and the main title. Gradually build up your design with other elements so that they cover half of the layout in a diagonal direction. Dot small embellishments and coloured mini die-cuts around the artwork. Add the twine below the main title to emphasise the diagonal composition and add texture.
5
Once finished, attach the layout to the inside of the
shadow box. If you would prefer to use it as a box to store memorabilia from your trip, fix to the aperture of the lid using Stick it! double-sided tape.
