How did it all begin? “I have always adored creating handmade items. I started crafting at a very early age – my first project was a knitted penguin that my grandmother spent three weeks helping me to make.
“I have tried a lot of different crafting techniques including model making, baking, sewing, quilting, jewellery making, beading, felting, painting and upcycling. However, once I learned about papercrafting I was hooked – I love sharing my projects with my friends and family, it’s the perfect craft for me.”
What did you do before
joining Create and Craft? “Before I became a TV demonstrator, I worked in a craft shop at the weekend while studying for my art degree. Shortly after that, I taught arts and crafts at artist holiday retreats abroad. I moved on to teach crafts to special needs children – there were so many beautiful, crafty kids.

“I never thought that I’d be so lucky to have the best job in the world”
opening my own business – Carley Duff Creations – a major milestone and something that I am incredibly passionate about. Thereafter, my focus was on getting my creations showcased on television.”
How did you get involved with the Club?
“Before I joined the team, I was a buyer for a Dutch company who sold products to Create and Craft – I quickly joined the team thereafter to become a demonstrator. During my nine years at the company, I’ve been blessed to work with the Create and Craft team in the USA, too – it’s been a great way to share my crafting knowledge with a wider audience.
“Showcasing beautiful projects and having the opportunity to work alongside Disney has been wonderful. I never thought that I’d be so lucky to have the best job in the world – it’s like being part of a family.”
What is your dream for the future?
“Apart from updating my blog and social media platforms, I’ll continue to write magazine articles and create tutorials – it’s my way of inspiring others to create things.
“I will continue to showcase my designs on Create and Craft TV alongside Tattered Lace and Disney. I also hope to write my own book on paper crafts and release a signature range while continuing to spread crafting joy.”
“One of my favourite creatures is a unicorn, so I had to incorporate one into this beautiful design”
“Nigel May and I love posing for the camera”
