GET YOUR SPRING OFF TO A COLOURFUL START WITH SARAH HURLEY’S DELICATE DESIGNS


T


o make the most of the changing season, we asked


Sarah Hurley to come up with some floral creations. And she’s done us proud, combining delicate cut and inked shapes layered onto ethereal backgrounds. Sarah used inks to


colour in her designs, and these are the perfect projects to practise your skills on, as the individual elements are uniform in colour – the shading comes via pencils. We think Sarah’s designs are lovely... and we know you’ll agree!

Floral cards


“While these cards look different, you can make both of them following these simple steps.”


You will need


l Shaped card blank; Square card blank l Pinflair glue l Brea Reese watercolour inks and brushes l Colouring pencils l Gold ribbon l Glitter glue l Watercolour card l Free download - Hand Drawn Florals by Sarah Hurley

Download Hand Drawn florals from the members’


area and colour in the circle topper using Brea Reese watercolour Inks. Leave to dry.

Once dry, add shading with colouring pencils. Cut out


the individual elements and layer using Pinflair glue.

Once dry, stick the topper to the front of the square card


blank using strong double- sided tape or a thin layer of glue.


Cut the ribbon slightly longer than the sentiment


and glue to the front of the card. Stick the sentiment on top. Add finishing touches with glitter glue.
