Marilyn McLaughlin’s story Flame Angels uses a lot of dialogue to develop the story and to show the relationships between the characters.
Full quotes A full quote is a complete line of dialogue. An example from the story is: ‘Mercutio will be there, and Tybalt and the Friar and maybe a certain Romeo-o-o,’ she said. Partial quotes A partial quote is a line made up of only some dialogue. An example from the story is: He made me go into it because of my ‘interpretative skills’ and because my ‘powerful physical presence’ would suit the nurse.
