The WOW! nati onal gala


Physiotherapist Sarah Embleton and the Colposcopy Team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital were among the four fi nalists from our Trust at The WOW! Awards 2016 gala ceremony.


Sarah was in the running for Going the Extra Mile (Public Sector) award aft er helping a 99-year-old pati ent to get back on his feet, while the Colposcopy Team were nominated for the WOW! What a Team award aft er being put forward by a pati ent who had been very anxious, but was quickly put at ease by what was a real team eff ort.


Consultant Paediatrician, Dr Nick Ward, and Rita Hubbard, who works in the medical records department, were also fi nalists, meaning staff from our Trust were shortlisted for a record four awards.
