Research Network Awards


Clinical Research Sister, Debbie Dellafera, won the Outstanding Health Professional award at the Nati onal Insti tute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network Wessex Awards.


Debbie, who specialises in Parkinson’s Disease, stroke care, long term conditi ons and frailty, is responsible for enrolling pati ents into research studies looking at new and alternati ve ways of treati ng these conditi ons. She also supports pati ents throughout the process, ensuring they understand the trial and get the best possible experience.


She was nominated for the award aft er recruiti ng more than 40 pati ents suff ering from Parkinson’s Disease into a new trial. Her eff orts ensured that Hampshire Hospitals was the top recruiti ng trust nati onwide for this trial over the past year.
