You could award marks as follows: Heading:
• Check that drawing matches up with description. • Has learner named roads and landmarks? • Has learner clearly marked home and the end point of route? • Do not worry about scale or direction at this stage. General neatness and presentation:
• Has learner used the words left, right, straight on? • Has learner named roads or any other important points? • Has learner mentioned landmarks along the route? Drawing or route and labelling of landmarks:
Written description:
• Make sure learners know exactly what to do. They must choose a simple route or a small part of a bigger route.
