Schleuniger Debuts Several New Wire Processing Machines

Manchester, NH — Schleuniger, a manufacturer of high-precision wire processing machines, is launching a collection of machines for the strip- ping, cutting, sealing, crimping, and marking of all types of wire and cable.

The company is launching its

CoaxCenter 6000 in the U.S. Accor - ding to the company, the system is the first and only fully-automatic mach - ine for processing micro-coaxial and coaxial cables, as well as single con- ductor wires. The machine's QCam 360 auto-

matically monitors stripping quality, eliminating the need for time-con- suming manual post-production mon- itoring processes. In addition, the CoaxCenter 6000 has an output at least three times higher than manual or semi-automated equipment and requires considerably less handling. Also available from Schleu -

niger is the EcoStrip 9380. The sys- tem offers the company's most com- plete feature set at an economical price point. The machine has expanded capabilities, which include the ability to be configured with rollers or belt feeding, and its config- uration can be changed quickly by the operator. The three-position design of the optional belt feeding system further enhances the cus- tomer's capabilities and can be set to normal mode, roller mode, or short mode processing. The EcoStrip 9380 is also compatible with a wide vari- ety of accessories, including prefeed- ing, marking, stacking, and coiling, which turn the standalone machine into a fully-automatic processing line. It is operated by a 5.7in (145mm) color touchscreen with pro- prietary S.ON software, which is now standard across the company's entire line of cut and strip products. Optional software allows the machine to be connected to various networks. New this year, the WireTwist

3300 D is an efficient machine for twisting single wires into twisted pairs. Due to its dual-head design, the machine is much more produc- tive than single-head variants. A touchscreen user interface makes it easy to enter and edit all twist set- tings. It also includes a movable car- riage with two right-side wire hold- ers that can be set in precise posi- tions for the initial wire length. Ergonomic access to the wire holders and start buttons on the cabinet and carriage allow quick operation of the machine. Automatic moveable safety shields in front of the rotating wire holders keep operators safe. Con - figurations from 1.8m (71in) up to 11.4m (440in) in length are available in 2.4m (94.5in) increments. In addition, the company is

introducing a line of wiring harness board conveyors to the North American market. Conveyor lines are typically used for high-volume wiring harness assembly. In addi- tion to the industry standard rotary type conveyor lines, the company offers transverse type and horizontal lift type conveyors, which save floor- space in the factory. Conveyor lines can be custom- made to fit existing wiring harness

boards or offered in a range of stan- dard sizes. Both single- and double- sided versions are available. A sim- ple user interface allows customers to set the line speed and keep track of the production rate and any stop time. All conveyor lines can be cus- tomized with respect to the number of working stations and line speed, as well as any optional lighting and operator start/stop controls. Schleuniger is also introducing

its productivity tracking solution, S.RPM. With S.RPM, users can track the utilization of their wire process-

ing equipment, as well as other types of production equipment. Instal - lation of an S.RPM sensor on each production machine does not require any electrical connection. The pro- duction data is collected wirelessly in real time and can be viewed using

the S.RPM application. Contact: Schleuniger, Inc., 87
