May, 2016 ECD Expands SmartDRY™ Dry Storage Line
Milwaukie, OR — ECD, a supplier of thermal monitoring and analysis technology, has expanded its line of SmartDRY™ intelligent dry storage
systems with the addition of its SmartDRY SD-48F. Launched less than a year ago, the company’s intel- ligent dry storage technology has
changed the way manufacturers ap- proach storage for moisture-sensitive devices. The systems offer a sophisti- cated dry storage solution that is conducive to dynamic manufacturing environments. Initially introduced in 10 and
30ft3 models, the company has added a larger 48ft3 version to accommo- date many different feeders and feeder cassettes for high-volume pro- duction. The SD-48F is compatible with feeder technology from multiple vendors and maintains the design of the original systems. The fully J-STD-033-compliant
SD-48F offers distinct advantages, which includes frequent access to parts (as often as 10 to 12 times per hour) to improve productivity, full net- working capability allowing data viewing 24/7, and LED lighting for vi- sual confirmation of unit status and interior illumination, as well as a rugged design manufactured in the United States. In addition to expanding the
product line, the company has broad- ened the regions in which the products
are available, and customers now have access to SmartDry in Europe.

the digital signature feature into the SAP workflow. Easily accessed in the program, it is possible to sign documents and have a record of their approval. The process is completely digi-

ture field to be moved to wherever is most convenient in the document. It also allows users to stamp cus- tomized text (e.g. “not approved”), which can also be moved manually to the appropriate place. CAD drawing elements, such as
title blocks, layers or headers, can be stamped over with new text varia- tions. This makes it possible to adapt information into several languages, or add project specific sender infor- mation, business units, or logos. The approval processes are
logged in the SAP system as well as in the PDF itself. In the document’s properties, it is possible to see when which employee signed or approved it. This way, the process of checking modified SAP documents in and out is simple. The system also supports automatic creation according to
PDF/A standards. Contact: SEAL Systems, Inc., 17505 North 79th Avenue, Suite
