3. The ABI SENTRY Counterfeit IC Detector is designed to offer a simple and easy to use system that can e operated by any personnel, and particularly non-technical staff.
4. The machine has an easy to use tester, aimed at incoming product inspectors and designed to measure the unique electrical signature (PinPrint) of components. The information collected is managed through a dataase and is used to compare known good devices against suspect components.
5. Typically, the Counterfeit IC machine can easily detect missing or incorrect dies, lack of ond wires, inaccurate pin outs and pin impedance variations. Simple pass or fail results are returned after testing, offering a high level of condence in the authenticity of components.
6. The ABI Sentry does not require any knowledge of electronics to use efciently. or indepth analysis though, PinPrints can e reviewed and full reports can e generated. The SENTRY software also offers options for customization and the aility to store essential
documentation such as photos, PD datasheets, we pages and images.
. The Counterfeit Detector is ale to accommodate virtually all types of components, from simple two pin devices to more complex packages such as BGA. A range of standard and universal adapters are availale and custom designs can also e supplied.
8. In order to ensure consistency throughout the whole supply chain, ABI SENTRY Counterfeit IC Detector is designed to support data sharing. This means that the PinPrints of a given component can e shared etween users, from the EM through to the distriutor and end user.
9. Counterfeit awareness, avoid ance and screening is now manda tory for any contract manufacturer, independent distriutor, import er, exporter, roker or trader of electronic components in order to stay in usiness.
PRICE. The ABI SENTRY Counterfeit IC Detector illustrated in this advertisement egins at $5,995.00.

adapter pair consists of SFS- BGS200B-52 patented female BGA sockets with BeCu (beryllium cop- per) pins assembled on a substrate that matches the male pin adapter. The RoHS-compliant socket can be soldered to a PCB by standard sol- dering methods without warping.
Both socket and adapter are con- structed with high-temperature polyimide and FR-4 bodies, which ensure a match with the target PCB and prevent the failures associated with CTE mismatch. Users simply attach a 200-pin BGA chip or other compatible chip to the adapter, and then plug it into the female BGA socket on the board to make a con- nection. The socket adapters require low
insertion and extraction force, which make them easy to use. The electri- cal path of the adapters has been carefully designed to be as short as
possible in order to provide better transmission of high-frequency sig- nals, up to 20GHz, with –1dB inser- tion loss. The length from the top connection point on the male adapter to the solder ball on the female sock- et is 3mm (0.12in). The sockets oper- ate in a temperature range of –55 to +160°C (–67 to +320°F) and have a
current rating of 3A per pin. Contact: Ironwood Electronics,
