Rigol Intros Field-Upgradeable Oscilloscope Platform

Beaverton, OR — Rigol Technologies, a manufacturer of test and measure- ment products, has introduced a field- upgradeable version of its oscilloscope family. The DS1000Z Plus series

tors, hobbyists and entry-level embed- ded designers. With bandwidths of 70-100MHz, four analog channels, 1GSa/sec sampling, 12Mpts memory, and an optional two-channel source, the scope provides a capable instrument at a low price. As a user’s analysis needs grow, the company offers five up - grades, which can be pur- chased and applied to the instrument at any time. An MSO upgrade adds

allows customers to purchase a tradi- tional four-channel analog scope and upgrade it with 16-channel logic analysis capability at a later time. By offering the option to add on capabili- ties at a later time, the company min- imizes the upfront cost of the oscillo- scope platforms. The DS1000Z Plus provides a

powerful instrument, which has been designed to meet the needs of educa-

16-channel logic analysis to the platform. The ad vanced triggering package adds enhanced triggering capa - bilities for complex de - bugging. Also available is a record mode upgrade, which allows a user to record and

play up to 60,000 frames. A serial decode and trigger option provides the ability to decode and trigger on many popular busses. Lastly, the memory can be increased to a depth of 24Mpts. The company’s mixed signal

oscilloscope portfolio spans from 70- 500MHz and meets the needs of most educational designs.

Sovella Intros Height- Adjustable Packing Station

Canton, GA — Sovella, a designer and manufacturer of industrial fur- niture, has introduced a high-quali- ty, ergonomic and economical pack- ing station. It has been designed to economize the packing process as well as aid efficiency. Each packing station includes

the frame, top, uprights, top shelf with dividers, two roller holders (one above and one below the work surface), and a horizontal rail with a paper/tape dis- penser. A wide variety of additional accessories are available. Two new carton trolleys have also been intro- duced with this line of products. All steel parts are epoxy powder

coated in grey. The work surface is made of 1in (25.4mm) laminate with plastic edges. Its frame size is 36 x 72in (0.91 x 1.83m) and has an

adjustable height from 25.59 to 35.43in (0.65 to 0.9m). Maximum load capacity of the station is 660lbs (299.37kg).

Delphin: Expert Logger for Multi-Channel Use

Chesterland, OH — Delphin has expanded its popular Expert Logger product line with the Expert Logger 300, and made it available through its North American distributor CAS Dataloggers. The logger is equipped with 46 universal channels to handle any multi-channel requirement. It is designed to be used in industrial and lab environments to process a large number of analog input channels. In the logger’s compact design,

all inputs are differential and have galvanic isolation to protect them against interference from sensor cir- cuits, while also preventing ground loops. The analog inputs have high- precision 24-bit resolution and high- speed sampling rates of up to 50 measurements per second. Its universal inputs can be indi-

vidually configured for mV, mA, Pt100(0), resistance, thermocouple, or DMS sensors. Resistances of up to 100kW can be measured directly along with Pt100(0) sensors, which use both three- and four-wire technology. The logger takes up 210mm

(8.3in) of rail space, which makes for easy installation in existing switch cabinets. It is possible to set up com- plete, multi-channel systems that require little space, and its detach- able terminal connectors simplify assembly and wiring. With internal data storage of up

to 14GB, the logger is well-suited for autonomous measurement and moni- toring tasks. To keep data secure, the

internal storage can also serve as a backup for PC-based measurement systems. Data can be stored automati-

cally through FTP upload to an exter- nal storage medium such as a NAS drive, network server, or internet cloud service. In applications without network support, data can be easily transferred by USB or USB HD. Delphin’s ProfiSignal Go soft-

ware is included with the data log- gers. The program displays both cur- rent and past measurement data in state-of-the-art trend diagrams. It is able to zoom from the annual to mil- lisecond level with high-resolution data analysis, regardless of the data volume. The software can also export data in ASCII format to Excel, or vec- tor-based graphics to be inserted into
