Vision Engineering Microscopes Bolster Laritech Growth


New Milford, CT — Laritech, Inc., a California-based company specializ- ing in design services and PCB as- sembly, has recently invested in mi- croscope inspection systems from Vi- sion Engineering. The company now uses a Lynx EVO stereo inspection microscope to inspect PCBs during manufacturing. Each assembly is then checked with a Lynx Dynascope by a final inspector prior to leaving the facility. With over 15 years experience

local investment in technology the company has worked to build com- prehensive PCB manufacturing ca- pabilities. These include placements from 0201 to 2in (51mm) BGAs with pick-and-place accuracies to 38µ, in an ISO-9000 controlled environment. The company also attributes suc-


cess in the production process to Vi- sion Engineering’s microscopes. Any modifications required, such as re- working, are completed while using the company’s stereo microscope. The Lynx EVO is ergonomically


designed and can be used from a comfortable distance. The stereo mi- croscope looks different than a tradi- tional microscope. It is optical, but the viewing area has no eyepiece. It’s equipped with a brilliant flat panel screen, which displays 3D images. As well as benefitting productivity, the microscope provides greater periph- eral vision, which helps with hand- eye coordination during rework. With strict guidelines on IPC di-
